Our Services
Neuro Psychology
At Resilience Neuro Specialists in Warwickshire, our neuropsychologists support people experiencing cognitive, emotional and behavioural changes following a neurological illness or injury.
Neuropsychology helps individuals understand how changes to the brain may be affecting memory, concentration, mood, behaviour, relationships and everyday life.
Every neuroosychology assessment and rehabilitation programme is tailored to the individual. Our aim is to help people better understand their difficulties, develop practical strategies and improve their confidence, independence and quality of life.
What is neuro psychology?
Neuropsychology is a specialist area of psychology concerned with the relationship between the brain, behaviour, thinking and emotional wellbeing.
Understanding how it works
Neuropsychological assessment brings together information about the person’s medical history, current difficulties, strengths, goals and daily functioning. It may include interviews, questionnaires and structured cognitive assessments.
The results can help identify areas of strength and difficulty, explain changes that may have occurred following an injury or diagnosis, and guide an individual rehabilitation plan.
Neuropsychological rehabilitation may include practical strategies for managing memory, attention, fatigue, anxiety, low mood, frustration or changes in behaviour. It can also help individuals adjust to changes in their abilities, identity, relationships and future plans.
Our neuropsychologists work closely with the wider rehabilitation team to ensure that psychological and cognitive needs are considered throughout the person’s recovery.

Support may include:

- Cognitive rehabilitation
- Memory and organisational strategies
- Psychological therapy adapted for neurological needs
- Emotional adjustment and coping support
- Fatigue and stress management
- Behavioural support and formulation
- Education for clients, families and carers
- Advice to rehabilitation teams and other professionals
- Goal setting and rehabilitation planning
Sessions are tailored to the individual and may take place at our Resilience Therapy Centre, at home, online, in a care setting or elsewhere in the community.
Our neuropsychologists can work alongside neurophysiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians and other professionals to provide coordinated multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

Accessing neuro psychology
We welcome referrals from both professionals and individuals.
A neurological condition or injury can affect much more than physical movement. It may lead to changes in memory and learning, attention and concentration, planning and problem-solving, processing speed, communication, social understanding, emotional regulation, motivation, fatigue, personality and behaviour. Clinical neuropsychologists assess these changes and help individuals, families and rehabilitation teams understand how they may be affecting everyday life.
We welcome referrals from both professionals and individuals.Case managers, solicitors, insurers, healthcare providers, clients and families can refer directly by phone or email, or by completing our referral form.
We will contact you to gather further information and discuss the most appropriate next steps. This may include an initial consultation or a more detailed neuropsychological assessment.
Following assessment, we will recommend a personalised programme based on your needs, strengths and goals. Support can be delivered at home, in your care setting, in the community or at our Therapy Centre in Warwickshire, close to Coventry, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Rugby.
We also provide access to specialist neurorehabilitation services including neurophysiotherapy, neuro occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and neuro dietetics.
