World-leading neurorehabilitation technology in Warwickshire

Walker View – Advanced Gait Analysis

At the Resilience Therapy Centre in Warwickshire, we combine advanced neurotechnology with expert therapy to help people rebuild walking patterns, posture, and confidence.

One of our most advanced systems is the Walker View 3.0 SCX. Much more than a treadmill, it’s a digital gait lab designed to help you walk better, not just further. It gives you and your therapist a complete picture of how you move, showing exactly how each step lands, how weight is shared between your legs, and how your posture and stride change over time.

Understanding the technology

How it works

Walker View combines a 3D motion camera, sensorised treadmill belt, and a high-definition display. As you walk or run, the system captures your movement from every angle and measures:

  • Posture and trunk movement
  • Step length and symmetry
  • Foot contact and weight distribution
  • Rhythm and stability

As you walk, Walker View displays your movement on screen in real time – showing posture, step length, rhythm and balance. This visual feedback makes it easier to understand exactly how you are moving and how to correct it.

Seeing these changes immediately helps you learn better patterns faster, whether you are rebuilding walking after a stroke, adapting to a prosthetic limb, or improving balance after neurological injury.

Who can benefit from the Walker View?

Whether someone is taking their first steps again or refining movement for independence, Walker View supports recovery with clarity and precision.

Valuable for a range of conditions
  • Stroke recovery to improve walking pattern, balance, and coordination
  • Brain or spinal cord injury rehabilitation
  • Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease therapy to improve stability and reduce falls
  • Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) movement retraining
  • Amputation rehabilitation, including gait adaptation with prosthetics
  • Orthopaedic trauma or surgery recovery affecting walking and balance
  • Long-term balance and mobility issues following illness or injury
Why It Helps Recovery

After stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, or time spent unable to walk, people often develop habits that cause imbalance, fatigue, or instability. Walker View helps identify and correct these problems.

With real-time visual and data feedback, you can see exactly how your body is moving – including where your steps are uneven, if your posture is off, or if one leg is taking more weight. This means you can make changes instantly, improving your walking pattern and building confidence.

Recover Safely and Reduce Risk

Walker View’s self-adjusting Speed Control means the treadmill matches your pace naturally, helping you stay steady and confident. The system allows:

  • Safe walking practice even if your pace or stability vary
  • Reduced fatigue and fall risk during early rehabilitation
  • A natural walking experience, not restricted to set treadmill speeds
  • Progressive improvement as strength, balance and confidence grow

Frequently asked questions

Walker View gives real-time feedback on step length, balance, posture and weight distribution while you walk. This helps you and your therapist spot any uneven steps or compensations straight away, so you can make adjustments and retrain your walking pattern more effectively after a stroke.

Yes. Walker View is ideal for people with Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis who want to improve stability, posture and walking confidence. The system’s live visual feedback and natural pace control make it safer to practise walking, reduce fall risk, and build steadier movement.

Absolutely. If you’ve had orthopaedic surgery, a joint replacement, or an injury affecting your legs, hips or spine, Walker View can help restore balance and coordination. It shows you exactly how you are moving, helping you correct posture and stride as you recover strength.

Yes. Walker View can be used to help people adapt to walking with a prosthetic limb after amputation. It provides clear data and visual feedback on gait symmetry and weight distribution, so your therapist can help you fine-tune your walking technique.

No. Walker View is used both for people taking their first steps after illness or injury and for those who can walk but want to improve their technique. It’s just as valuable for refining posture, stride length and coordination as it is for early-stage walking rehabilitation.
