Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist Michelle Kudhail is one of the founders and the Clinical Director of Resilience Neuro Specialists. She graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 1991 and holds an MSc-level qualification in Injectors Therapy, specialising in Botulinum Toxin. Michelle is also qualified in Non-Medical Prescribing and has received advanced training in Gait Analysis. With over 33 years of experience, including 20 years in the NHS and 13 years in the independent sector, she is a leading specialist in neurological physiotherapy.

Michelle adopts a goal-focused and functional approach, aiming to increase her clients’ independence and enhance their participation in daily activities. She provides a wide range of physiotherapy services both in clinics and via home visits, primarily across the Midlands.

In addition to her clinical work, Michelle has spoken at international conferences and provides training to post-graduate therapists. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing and spending time with her dog, Cosmo.

Suzi Kerrell-Vaughan is a Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist with extensive expertise in helping individuals regain functional skills and return to meaningful activities. She graduated with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in 1999 from Queen Margaret University College and is certified as an AMPS-trained clinician. Over her career, she has worked in NHS neuro-rehabilitation settings, including inpatient care at Leamington’s Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), and has brought her expertise to the independent sector in both inpatient and community neuro-rehabilitation roles.

For the past six years, Suzi has specialised in community-based medico-legal cases, offering bespoke rehabilitation programmes. Based in South Warwickshire (CV47 8NA), she serves a wide area including Warwickshire, Coventry, Solihull, Rugby, and parts of Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and North Oxfordshire.

Suzi takes a client-centred approach, tailoring her interventions to each individual’s needs. She is passionate about helping clients regain independence, whether through functional task training, cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb therapy, or environmental modifications. Her work also includes fatigue management, return-to-work programmes, assistive technology integration, and sleep management. Suzi is committed to helping clients achieve their rehabilitation goals and rediscover independence in their daily lives.

When not working, Suzi loves to travel and has explored destinations across the globe. She enjoys weight training and shares her home with her beloved cat.

He supports patients living with acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, neurodegenerative conditions and prolonged disorders of consciousness, delivering structured, consultant-led rehabilitation within coordinated multidisciplinary pathways. Dr Ali has particular experience in rehabilitation following major trauma, management of prolonged disorders of consciousness, and addressing medical complexity within both inpatient and outpatient neurorehabilitation pathways. His work strengthens coordinated care across the interdisciplinary team, supporting functional progress and long-term independence.

Alongside his rehabilitation practice, Dr Ali holds consultant roles within General Internal Medicine and contributes to education, clinical governance, audit and research. He has been involved in protocol development, including work relating to spasticity management and prolonged disorders of consciousness, and remains committed to maintaining high standards of safe, evidence-based rehabilitation care.

Lisa brings a client-centred, functional approach to therapy. She works collaboratively with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure communication strategies are meaningful and embedded into everyday life.

Her experience includes leading and developing services within both the NHS and independent sector. She has a strong background in service design, clinical governance and pathway development, alongside extensive hands-on clinical practice. Lisa delivers detailed communication and dysphagia assessments, provides supported conversation training, and facilitates aphasia conversation groups both in person and online. She also offers training and supervision to carers, families and clinical staff to ensure consistent, outcome-focused support.

Her work combines clinical precision with compassion, focusing on collaborative goal setting and therapy planning that supports long-term progress and independence.

Dr Jenny Brooks is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 16 years of experience, specialising in neurobehavioural rehabilitation—her main area of expertise. She also has extensive skills in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation, providing comprehensive care to clients with a wide range of neurological challenges.

Dr Brooks holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has further specialised with a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Neuropsychology. She has worked extensively in the independent sector and private practice, supporting clients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and acquired brain injury (ABI).

Based in Warwickshire, Dr Brooks is dedicated to providing tailored psychological support and rehabilitation services, empowering individuals to achieve their goals and maximise their potential. Dr Emma Henderson is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in neuropsychology, with extensive experience working in both the NHS and private practice. She has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, dementia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury (SCI), cerebral palsy (CP), and functional neurological disorder (FND).

Emma’s approach is deeply collaborative, working closely with clients, their families, and support networks to empower them to become experts in managing their conditions. Her focus is on helping clients achieve meaningful outcomes and maintain a fulfilling life aligned with their personal values.

Based in the Midlands, Dr Henderson offers accessible and tailored neuropsychological care to a broad range of clients.

Dr Henderson lives near Banbury with her family, her springador Mack, and her rescue cat Luna. A passionate football fan, she’s currently enjoying the highs of her team’s promotion to the Premier League and is determined to enjoy the glory as long as it lasts!

Since moving to Warwickshire in 2004, Alex has worked across South Warwickshire community, inpatient, and outpatient services, including over 15 years at Leamington’s Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU). Currently, she divides her time between the Community Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation Team (CMSRT) and the CERU Out-Patient Neuro-Rehabilitation Team (COPNT), delivering care to clients with complex needs.

Alex adopts a holistic, client-centred approach, integrating theory and current research into her practice. She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver goal-based therapy, focusing on both functional and impairment targets. Her expertise includes:

His experience includes therapeutic exercise delivery, respiratory physiotherapy, postural management, group therapy, and rehabilitation coaching, alongside a strong focus on coordinated MDT working and high-quality, person-centred care.

Dr Elie Okirie is a Clinical Director and Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation at the Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, and a Consultant Physician in Neurological Rehabilitation within the Neurosciences Department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.

He leads specialist rehabilitation services for patients with complex neurological conditions, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries, ensuring they receive expert, multidisciplinary care at all stages of recovery. Dr Okirie has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of brain injuries (traumatic and vascular, including stroke), post-concussion injuries, spinal injuries, and long-term neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and neuromuscular disorders.

Through his leadership and clinical roles, Dr. Okirie remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with neurological impairments, promoting their well-being and independence.

Vishwa specialises in nutrition support for patients with neurological conditions, ensuring evidence-based, tailored dietary interventions to improve recovery and quality of life. She has worked extensively in acute stroke, neurorehabilitation, and long-term neurological care, leading dietetic teams and shaping best practices in both NHS and private healthcare settings.

A qualified coach, Vishwa has worked in the NHS and in private healthcare as a Neuro Specialist Dietitian and Acute Dietitian Team Leader, and spent 12 years as Highly Specialist Dietitian and Dietetic Clinical Lead in Neurorehabilitation at Moseley Hall Hospital, Birmingham, managing inpatient services and advancing neurorehabilitation nutrition care.
